Kristen Brassel’s voice soared out over the crowd. Folks were dressed in T-shirts and khaki shorts, sitting in lawn chairs, drinking from plastic cups and watching unashamed children dance in the grass.
“Take me down to the little white church,” Brassel sang, covering a song by the country group, Little Big Town.
Behind Brassel, both children and grown-ups yipped like puppies as the Himalaya ride bounded loudly, in a wide, undulating circle, past plastic curtains depicting snow-capped mountains and high, diamond-clear Tibetan skies.
The Balloons Over Grenada Festival rocked during the weekend with plenty of music, food and family entertainment.
