Guilty plea in death of police officer

   A Florida man has pleaded guilty in Grenada County Circuit Court to charges in a robbery and chase that led to the death of a Eupora police officer last year.
   Brandon Johnson, 27, of Orlando, was sentenced to two 40-year sentences to run concurrently, court records show. Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and one count of second degree murder.
   Judge Clarence Morgan III ordered Johnson to serve day-for-day with the no chance for parole or early release.
   Police Officer Keith Crenshaw died Oct. 23, after being struck by a vehicle Johnson and two other individuals used as a getaway vehicle after a check cashing business in Grenada was robbed.
   The two others in the car died as a result of the crash that occurred following a high-speed pursuit. Nathaniel Robinson, 22, died at the scene, and Frank Levon Maye, 33, died the next day at a Tupelo hospital. Both men had Orlando addresses.
