The GrenadaStar has learned that Grenada High School boys’ basketball coach Jaworski Rankin has resigned his position at the school. He will be the boys’ basketball coach and Asst. Principal’s position at Aberdeen High School.
Last season, Rankin’s Chargers had a 23-12 last year and advanced to the Class 6A title game losing to Gulfport.
Grenada High School Athletic Director Marshall Whittemore says a search has begun to find a replacement.
“We appreciate Coach Rankin’s time here at Grenada,” Whittemore said. “He has taken the program to a high level. We hope to find some to keep program going in the same direction.”
Whittemore said the position will be advertised on the Mississippi High School Activities Association website.
