Airport manager rehired few weeks after dismissal

Staff Writer

The Grenada City Council on Monday voted unanimously to reinstate the director of the airport.
Garrett Pollan was reinstated as the airport director, a position he’s held for two years.
Pollan wouldn’t discuss details Tuesday, saying only that he was grateful to be back at the helm.
According to Pollan, he was asked to step down at the end of April. He wouldn’t say why.
During executive session the council voted unanimously to reinstate Pollan, on probationary status, according to Mayor Billy Collins.
“The council supported bringing him (Pollan) back and giving him a second chance,” said Collins.
