Grenada attorneys donated their time and expertise Thursday to help first responders get their wills in order.
Barristers from several local firms were on-hand to help police, firefighters and other emergency personnel arrange wills, powers of attorney and living wills.
The program was called Wills for Heroes. It was a function of the Grenada Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar Association, and the services were free.
“We have about 12 local attorneys participating,” said Grenada attorney Sabrina Howell.
Wills for Heroes was started by a New York attorney after 9-11 as a way of thanking first responders, said Howell.
The lawyers were happy to donate their time.
