Arthur Bartlett Bristow
   Dr. Arthur Bartlett “Bart” Bristow, 63, of Grenada passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada (UMMC-Grenada).
   He was born on Sept. 25, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. George Benjamin Bristow and Evelyn Edna Voorhies Bristow.  He grew up in Osceola, Iowa, attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Mo., and The University of Missouri. He completed his studies at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the former chief of staff at Grenada Lake Medical Center, and most recently was the Director of Radiology, and staff physician at the Wound Care Center, UMMC-Grenada.
   Dr. Bristow was the founder of the Grenada chapter of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. He was also a former reserve officer for the Grenada Police Dept. and the Grenada County Sheriff’s Dept.
   A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Lyn Powell Bristow of Grenada; his mother, Evelyn V. Bristow of West Des Moines, Iowa; his daughters, Brittney Murray-Bristow, of Schaumburg, Ill., and Taverly Ane Mitchell, of Jackson, Tenn. He is also survived by a brother, Bradley V. Bristow (Carol) of Urbandale, Iowa.
   He was preceded in death by his father.
   The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123; or the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, c/o P.O. Box 400, Grenada, MS 38902.

Wendy Lynn Bailey Golding
   Funeral services for Wendy Lynn Bailey Golding, 39, of Grenada, are at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at National Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Bruce City Cemetery in Bruce.
   Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.
   Wendy died Oct. 26, 2013, at her home.
   She was born on Aug. 27, 1974, and was the daughter of Wilton Bailey Jr. and Barbara Massey Bailey of Grenada.
   Wendy was employed by Lakeway Sporting Goods as a secretary. She was a graduate of Kirk Academy. Wendy was a Baptist.
   She is survived by a son, Warren Gage Golding of Grenada; her mother, Barbara  Bailey of Grenada; a sister, Cindy Ashmore of Grenada; and one step-brother, Jason Bailey of Southaven.
   Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Wilton Bailey Jr.; one sister, Tracy Bailey; her grandparents, Guy and Opal Massey; and one step-brother, Chad Bailey.

Mary Lou Stegall Haltom
   Funeral services for Mary Lou Stegall Haltom, 78, of Grenada, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Oakland Baptist Church. Burial was at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Malesus, Tenn.
   Visitation was Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at Oakland Baptist Church.
Mrs. Haltom died Oct. 28, 2013, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada (UMMC-Grenada).
   She was born on Nov. 6, 1934, and was the daughter of  William David Stegall Sr. and Jettie Smith Stegall of Jackson, Tenn.
   Mrs. Haltom was employed by Delta Medical Center as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and  the adult Bible class.  
   She is survived by her mother, Jettie Stegall of Kernersville, N.C.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Hood (Jimmy) of Grenada; two sons, Joseph Bartley “Bart” Haltom Jr. of Grenada and Russell Lee “Rusty” Haltom of Collierville, Tenn.; four sisters, Donna Sue Foster of Largo, Fla., Annabelle Drzycimski of Milton, Fla., Brenda Stegall of Memphis, and  Jan Nunn of Kernersville; one brother, Richard Stegall of Germantown, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Liles, Kathy Jones, Melissa Stokes, Joey Haltom, Nathan Haltom, Emma Grace Haltom, and  Kelsey Haltom; and five great-grandchildren, Lanie Ruth Liles, McKayla Jones, Kacyn Grace Jones, Brooke Ann Stokes, and Amelia Haltom.
   Mrs. Haltom was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Haltom Sr.; a son, Brad Haltom; her father, William David Stegall Sr.; a sister, Nan Waterman; and three brothers, Bill, Tommy, and Jack Stegall.

Clara Ophelia Clark Roach

   Funeral services for Clara Ophelia Clark Roach, 75, of Grenada, are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Grace Methodist Church in Grenada. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery at Paynes, Miss.
   Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grace Methodist Church.
   Mrs. Roach died Oct. 28, 2013, at Grace Health and Rehab.
   She was born on Dec. 16, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Gip Clark and Verena Tate Clark of Tallahatchie County.
   Mrs. Roach was retired from Pennaco where she worked as a stockroom clerk. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, where she had served as the church secretary. She had also served as VFW secretary and was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary.
   She  is survived by her husband, Billy J. Roach of Grenada; one daughter, Jan Hitt of Meridian; five sons, Dennis Holley, Jeff Holley, Ken Holley, Calvin Roach, and Kelley Roach, all of Grenada; two sisters, Mary Ruth Tucker of Brandon and Dora Sue Ferrell of Hattiesburg; three brothers, Lacy Booth Clark of Sumner, Miss., Billy “Gip” Clark of Columbus, Miss., and Hugh Clark of Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
   Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by one son, Hubert Holley; and one grandson, Stephen Holley.
