Ray C. Green

CALHOUN CITY – Ray C. Green, 72, of Vardaman, died Sunday at his residence.

Mr. Green was a retired police sergeant with Collier County Sheriff’s Department in Collier County, Fla. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Mr. Green was also a World War II Marine veteran.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Hugh Lambert, James Lucius and Jim Vance officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Carl W. Green and Myrtle Barry Green; a brother, Kaye Green; and a granddaughter, Sabrina Runner.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Green of Vardaman; two sons, Howard Green of Vardaman and Harold Green of Naples, Fla.; two daughters, Kathi Runner of Benson, Ark. and Gail Whidden of Vardaman; a brother, Frank Merritt of Blairsville, Ga.; a sister, Iris Brenner of Ocala, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Angle, Bubba Childress, Austin Green, Aaron Green, Alex Green, Tommy Green, Mike Whitten Sr. and Michael Whitten.

Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Olevia Hych

Olevia Hych, 92, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Calhoun City, died Sunday at Foundation Park Nursing Home in Toledo, Ohio.

The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Charles Haliburton

Charles Haliburton, 84, of Grenada, died today at his residence.

Earl W. Terrell

GREENWOOD – Earl W. Terrell, 85, a native of Farrell, died Monday at Indy Wood Glen Personal Care Home in Greenwood.

Mr. Terrell was a farm machinery mechanic with Johnson Implement Co. for 40 years. He was a deacon and member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Terrell was a United States World War II Army veteran, serving in Air Service Group in Tunisia, Naples and Rome.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his first wife, Glyndora Ashmore Terrell.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie V. Terrell of Greenwood; two daughters, Lenice McDaniel and Glenda Pittman, both of Greenwood; and two grandsons, Brent McDaniel and Matt Pittman, both of Greenwood.

Pallbearers will be Brent McDaniel, Matt Pittman, Wayne Terrell, Gary Terrell, R.G. Brock and Glenn Carter.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
