Albert P. Cuomo

WINONA – Albert Patrick Cuomo, 81, of Vaiden, died Saturday at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko.

Mr. Cuomo was a retired employee of J.A. Olson Co. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a United States World War II Army veteran.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Michie Cemetery near Vaiden.

Mr. Cuomo is survived by his wife, Lula Mae Cuomo of Vaiden; a son, Albert P. Cuomo Jr. of Vaiden; six daughters, Patsy Moore of Louisville, Barbara Ivy of Stewart, Brenda King, Mary Jane King, Diane King, all of Vaiden and Virginia Hutchison of Newport; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John R. Long

CHARLESTON – John Robert Long, 80, died Saturday at Tallahatchie General Hospital.

Mr. Long was a salesman and owner of a car business.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Newsom Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Enid.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Lois Street Long of Charleston; three sons, Dallas Brown of Charleston, Connie Brown and Lanny Brown, both of Tupelo; eight daughters, Robbie Burnett of Maiden, Mo., Linda Vincent, Brenda Campbell, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., Diane James of Charleston, Maule Hausner of Drew, Shelia Robertson of Indianola and Karla Rayburn of Waveland; a brother, W.H. Long of Lebanon, Mo.; 27 grandchildren.

Newsom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Annie L. McDaniel

GREENWOOD – Annie Lou McDaniel, 77, a native of Inverness, died Thursday at her residence.

Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker. She was a member of Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Lumbley and Jackie Taylor officiating. Burial was in Longview Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McDaniel; and a son, Robert Carl McDaniel.

She is survived by two sons, Charles McDaniel and Willard McDaniel, both of Greenwood; three daughters, Patricia Blount of Carrollton, Eloise Jones of Minter City and Norma McDaniel of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
