Shirley F. Alldread

Shirley Faye Alldread, 56, of Grenada, died Friday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.

Mrs. Alldread was a former employee of McRees Southern Farm Eggs. She was also a Baptist.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at National Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Samples officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mrs. Alldread is survived by her husband, Anthony ‘Tony’ Alldread of Grenada; four sons, James Welch, Adam Welch, Ricky Welch and Mike Welch, all of Grenada; two daughters, Patricia Tatum and Connie Welch, both of Grenada; two brothers, Clyde Smith of Greenville and Freddie Jenkins of Calhoun City; two sisters, Dorothy Weeks and Mildred Farris, both of Clarksdale; and eight grandchildren.

National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James L. Buchanan

James L. Buchanan, 58, of Pittsboro, died Monday at his residence.

The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Mary Fisher

Mary Fisher, 48, Grenada, died Saturday at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Eullan Flanagan

Eullan ‘Fed’ Flanagan, 76, of Duck Hill, died Friday at his residence in Elliott Community.

Mr. Flanagan was a self-employed carpenter. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.

The funeral was at 1 p.m. today at National Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Norris Corley officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mr. Flanagan is survived by two daughters, Mary Lemons-Myers of Otoka, Tenn. and Robin Hunt of Munford, Tenn.; two brothers, J.P. Flanagan and Ernest Flanagan, both of Joliet, Ill.; two sisters, Bertha Hamby of Grenada and Ella Childress of Verona; two grandchildren; and a step-grandchild.

National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hattie Harroll

Hattie Harroll, of Grenada, died Monday at her residence.

Donald L. Johnson

WATER VALLEY – Donald Lee Johnson, 64, of Coffeeville, died Friday at his residence.

Mr. Johnson was a retired employee o Brog Warner Inc., Auto Parts Mfg. Co. and owner and operated Johnson Radiator and Repair in Coffeeville. He was also a Baptist and a member of The Gold Wing Riders Association and the A.B.A.T. E.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Hathorne officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest Cemetery in Yalobusha County.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Cara W. Johnson of Coffeeville; two sons, Don Johnson Jr. of Coffeeville and Larry Langkawel of Grenada; four daughters, Ronda Burrowes of Water Valley, Mary Harbour, Jo Ann Langkawel, both of Coffeeville and Patricia Lincoln of Twin Falls; two brothers, Ron Johnson of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif. and Robert Johnson of Claremont, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Browning Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Rosemary M. Madden

Rosemary Miley Madden, 43, of Grenada, died Sunday at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

Mrs. Madden was a retired AT&T operator. She was a member of First Baptist Church, associate matron of the Eastern Star and treasurer of Communication Worker of America No. 3516.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Garner-Harper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Phil Weatherwax officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Madden is survived by her husband, Carl Madden of Grenada; three sons, Ashley Madden, Chris Madden, both of Grenada and Carl Madden Jr. of West Memphis, Ark.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miley; a brother, Rusty Miley of Grenada; and two sisters, Rae Canterbury and Rosalind Osborne, both of Grenada.

Garner-Harper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Merle N. McCurdy

BATESVILLE – Merle N. McCurdy, 97, of Pope, died Saturday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.

Mrs. McCurdy was a retired landowner. She was a member of Pope United Methodist Church.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Pope United Methodist Church with the Revs. Cathron Camp and Clay Baker officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville.

Mrs. McCurdy was the widow of J. Carl McCurdy.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara M. Branscome of Grenada and Carolyn M. Young of Metairie, La.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Wells Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
