John Anderson

John Anderson, 65, of Grenada, died Wednesday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.

Mr. Anderson was a scarp organizer. He was a member of Sweethome African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sweethome African Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Sweethome Cemetery.

Eddie Robinson & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia M. Edington

CALHOUN CITY – Virginia Mae Bryant Edington, 78, of Vardaman, died Thursday at Trace Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Edington was a homemaker. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Pete Gregory, Jerry Lowery and Charlie Porter officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edington was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Oakley Edington; her parents, Everett Hill Bryant and Bessie Gertrude Ward Bryant; and a grandson, Grant Edington Hamilton.

She is survived by a son, Grover Edington of Vardaman; four daughters, Reva Hardin, Gigi Long, both of Vardaman, Judy Edington of Monroe, La. and Kathy Hamilton of Vardaman; two brothers, Wayne Bryant of Calhoun City and Buddy Bryant of Coldwater; a sister, Cozette Hamilton of Duck Hill; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Keith Robertson, Laderle Ramage, Jimmy Bryant, Phillip Parker, Perry Hamilton and John Edd Carter.

Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mae B. Howard

Mae Bell Howard, 75, Houston, a native of Webster County, died December 23 at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Mrs. Howard was a homemaker. She was also a Baptist.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church in Houston with the Rev. Charles Howard officiating. Burial will be in Houston City Cemetery.

Mary A. Patrick

BATESVILLE – Mary A. Patrick, 66, of Sardis, died Wednesday at her residence.

Mrs. Patrick was a homemaker.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Bett Baptist Church in Independence. Burial was in Bett Cemetery.

Mrs. Patrick was the widow of Luchous Sewell Patrick.

She is survived by a son, Larry Gordon Patrick of Horn Lake; three daughters, Carol S. Wilbanks of Faulkner, Mary D. Beasley, and Linda R. Coalburn, both of Sardis; five brothers, J.W. Middleton of Holly Springs, Marion Middleton, Eugene Middleton, both of Coldwater, William Middleton of Senatobia, and Willie Middleton of Sardis; four sisters, Addie M. Mays, Joann M. Douglas, both of Senatobia, Bennie M. Tedford of Coldwater and Hazel M. Kicker of Hernando; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Ercelle J. Trepagnier

WINONA – Ercelle Jones Trepagnier, 83, of Greenwood, died Thursday at Greenwood Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Trepagnier was a homemaker.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today at Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael with the Rev. Pete Heath officiating.

Mrs. Trepagnier is survived by a son, Barry Ellis of Greenwood; two brothers, Paul Jones of West Point and Fred Jones of Greenwood; and a grandchild, Daphne Ellis of Greenwood.
