John Anderson, 65, of Grenada, died Wednesday, December 27 at Grenada Lake Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Eddie Robinson and Son Funeral Directors is the funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Henry Fly, 92, of Water Valley, died Sunday at Yalobusha County Nursing Home.
Mr. Fly was a retired farmer. He was also a Baptist.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Goshen Methodist Church in Coffeeville. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery in Coffeeville.
Mr. Fly was preceded in death by a son, Benton Gale Fly.
He is survived by his wife, Opheilia Purdie Fly of Water Valley; four sons, William D. Fly of Senatobia, Henry D. Fly, Richard G. Fly, both of Water Valley and Kenneth R. Fly of Duck Hill; a daughter, Virginia G. Wood of Duck Hill; a step-daughter, Marjorie J. Green of Water Valley; a sister, Flora B. Holman of Grenada; six grandchildren; a step-grandchild; seven great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

CALHOUN CITY – Ethel Hall, 100 Bruce, died Saturday, December 23 at Hillcrest Hospital in Calhoun City.
Mrs. Hall was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and piecing quilts. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28 at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove M.B. Church with Rev. John Rolands officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hall is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Copeland and Iva Mae Westmoreland, both of Bruce; and a sister, Savannah Campbell of Bruce.
Mae Bell Howard
HOUSTON – Mae Bell Howard, 75, died Saturday, December 23, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Howard Stewart officiating and burial in Houston City Cemetery.

Ernestine Scott Grimes
Ernestine Scott Grimes, 80, of Grenada, formerly of Winona, died Sunday, December 24, at Grenada Lake Medical Center.
Mrs. Grimes was a retired employee of J.A. Olsen Company and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winona.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 at Oliver Chapel in Winona with burial in Winona Garden of Memory and the Rev. Rupert Ingram officiating.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Grimes of Grenada; a son, Milton Scott of Millsaps, Texas; a step-daughter, Darlene Jackson of Oakland; two sisters, Oneita Simpson of Winona; Burdette Duffy of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.

Lee R. Martin
CHARLESTON – Lee R. Martin, 81, of Tillatoba, died Tuesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
Mr. Martin was a farmer.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Newsom Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Charleston.
Mr. Martin was the widower of Myrtle Martin
He is survived by a son, Nolan Martin of Coffeeville; a daughter, Joann Martin of Tillatoba; two sisters, Lelar Chadwick of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Ann ‘Lady’ Woods of Grenada; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Amie Lee Stepp
Amie Lee Stepp, 85, of North Carrollton, died Sunday, December 24 at Fairfield center in Grenada.
Ms Stepp was a graduate of Blue Mountain College, a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and church pianist for over 40 years. She was a member of the State Board of Young Women’s Association and Sunbeams. She was a state delegate to the Baptist World Alliance in London , England.
She was instrumental in establishing a scholarship to benefit college students from the North Carrollton Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Carroll County Garden Club, a member of the Matinee Musical in Greenwood, former payroll director for Chicago and Southern Airlines.
She was owner of Carrollton Supply Company and was a member of the Board of Directors of Simpson-Stepp and Lott Lumber Company.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28 at 2 p.m at North Carrollton Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

A sister, Mary Julia Lott of North Carrollton; a nephew, Harry Lott of Greenwood; and two nieces survive her, Julia Lott of Greenwood, and Susan Stepp Bailey of Vicksburg.
B.L. Willis, 40, of Grenada, died Friday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.
Mr. Willis was an employee of Pioneer Beef Co. He was also a Baptist.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
