Lenard Holland

CALHOUN CITY – Lenard Holland, of Calhoun City, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Eddie Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Willie Mae Braswell

Willie Mae Braswell, 81, of Grenada, formerly of Kilmichael, died Tuesday at Beverly Care Center.

Funeral services were 11 a.m Wednesday at Oliver Chapel in Winona with Rev. Jimmy Latham officiating.

The burial was in Poplar Springs Cemetery near Kilmichael.

Mrs. Braswell was a homemaker.

She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Malvis E. “Ben” Braswell.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Black of Dunwoody, Ga.; two sons, Ernest Braswell of Grenada and Dewey Braswell of Clinton; a sister, S.C. Flowers of Carthage; two brothers, Thomas Hankins of Carthage and Raymond Hankins of Chesapeak Bay, Md.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 125 Poplar Springs Rd., Kilmichael, Miss. 39747.

Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Lester Wayne Williams

MEMPHIS – Lester Wayne Williams, 57, of Charleston, died Monday at Methodist Healthcare in Memphis.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday at Womble Funeral Home with Rev. Wil Howie officiating.

The burial was in New Hope Presbyterian Cemetery.

Mr. Williams’ parents were Albert Wright and Georgia Ashmore Williams. He lived in Memphis, but was formerly from the Charleston area.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda Streetman and Bonnie Crabtree, both of Atoka, Tenn.; and three brothers, Tommy Williams, Ruford Williams, and Ray Williams, all of Memphis.
