Donald C. Brister
BATESVILLE – Donald C. Brister, 74, died Monday, December 18 at his home.
Brister was retired from Lance Inc. and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Tocowa Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with burial in Forrest Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Brown and Dr. Johnny Spencer officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Fay White Brister of Batesville; two sons, Donald M. Brister and David W. Brister, both of Batesville; four sisters, Doris Brister Youngblood, Ann Brister Williams, both of Batesville; Katie Brister Garcia of Euma, Arizona; Charlotte Brister Slay of Clinton; two brothers, Ray Lee Brister of Batesville; Eugene Pat Brister of Senatobia; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tocowa Baptist Church.
Vivian Adams Eddins
COILA – Vivian Adams Eddins, 74, died Sunday, December 17 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
A native and long time resident of Pensacola, Florida, Mrs. Eddins was a homemaker and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Pensacola; and was a member of the Wray Wyse Rebekah Lodge of Greenwood.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood with Rev. Bruce Meier officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 19 from 5-7 p.m. at William and Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Eddins Muchow of Coila; three brothers, Cecil Adams of Mobile, Ala., Alfred Adams of Crestview, Florida; Ronald Adams of Gautier, Miss., three sisters, Vera Jones of Mobile; Norma Till of Pensacola; Dora Adams of Coila; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
William and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
David Marvin Jones
David Marvin Jones, 64, of Grenada, died Sunday, December 17 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jones was a carpenter and a veteran who served in the U.S. Army from January 1955 until October 1958.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 2 p.m. at National Funeral Home in Grenada with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Edith Bolster of Gulf Shores, Alabama; Joyce Singer of Kenner, Louisiana; two brothers, Melvin Jones of Metairie, Louisiana; and Tom Jones of Lacombe, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Francis Williams, Edward Byford, Charles Byford, Bobby Brannon, Bobby Sinter, and Spencer Williams.
National Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mitchell Lee Jones
Mitchell Lee ‘Doc Baby’ Jones, 42, of Charleston, died Wednesday, December 13 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford.
Jones was a high school graduate and a laborer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at True Bible Way with burial in Rocky Branch Cemetery with Bishop Dawson officiating.
He is survived by a son, Keith Jones of Chicago, Ill., and a daughter, Keilet Jones of New York.
