John S. Greenlee

WINONA – John Spivey Greenlee, 91, of Madison, died Saturday at the Willard F. Bond Home in Madison.

Graveside services were at 1:30 p.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Winona.

Mr. Greenlee was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John William Greenlee.

He is survived by a brother, Otho T. Greenlee of Jackson.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

L.B. Martin

BATESVILLE – L.B. Martin, 76, died Thursday at Batesville Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Martin was a retired factory worker.

The funeral was at 1 p.m. today at Spring Hill Ash Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in Spring Hill Ash Cemetery.

Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Percy Martin of Florida and William Martin of Washington; seven daughters, Sadie Brown of Calumet City, Ill., Annie Martin, Tracey Scott, Minnie Pope, all of Chicago, Ill., Evelyn Mack of Blythe, Calif., Nettie L. Armstead of Cleveland, Ohio and Annette Paige of Jackson; a sister, Nedgra Hayward of Blythe, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three cousins.

Cooley’s Mortuary, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

W. W. Walker

WINONA – W. Wilson Walker, 84, of Cleveland, formerly of Vaiden, died Thursday at his residence.

Mr. Walker was a retired employee of the ASCS office in Cleveland. He was an elder and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland and Cleveland Masonic Lodge.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Sidney Harmon officiating. Burial was at 4 p.m. at Midway Cemetery near Vaiden.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Louise Jones Walker of Cleveland; three daughters, Faye Arnos of Austin, Texas, Kay Carpenter of Mandeville, La. and Mandy Mattison of Roswell, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
