WINONA – Evelyn Carson, 78, died Sunday at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Mrs. Carson was a retired registered nurse at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today at Mission Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Bishop officiating.
Mrs. Carson was the widow of Lamar Carson.
She is survived by a brother, Charles Ramberg of Winona.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Larry L. Chilton
COLUMBUS – Larry Lane Chilton, 54, a native of Yazoo City, died Sunday at his residence.
Mr. Chilton was a retired employee of Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of Gore Spring Hunting Club, a former member of Columbus Bass Club and a United States Navy veteran.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Bros. Ben Yarber and Jeff James officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Chilton is survived by his wife, Lynn Ambroz Chilton of Columbus; two sons, Scott Chilton of Benton and Michael Chilton of Columbus; a brother, Herbert Chilton of McComb; and a sister, Debbie Hall of Hattiesburg.
Pallbearers will be John Hill, Lee Shackleford, Mike Jackson, Sandy Carpenter, James Black, Billy R. James, Billy Ward and Howard Scruggs.

Albert Freelon, 33, of Grenada, died Saturday at Grenada Lake Medical Center of injuries received in an automobile accident.
The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Damon A. Simmons
Damon Arnaz Simmons, 20, of Charleston, died Friday at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Simmons was a student at the University of Birmingham in Birmingham, Ala. He was also a Baptist.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Town Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Curry officiating. Burial will be in New Town Cemetery.
