Cecil E. Beach

Cecil Earl Beach, 47, of Grenada, died Monday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.

Mr. Beach was an employee of Heatcraft, Inc. He was a member of Grenada Church of God.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grenada Church of God with Bros. Frank Samples and Hulon Evans officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Beach is survived by his wife, Charlene Branch Beach of Grenada; two sons, Christopher Beach of Duck Hill and Aubrey Beach of Grenada; a daughter, Michelle Beach Wiggins of Duck Hill; two brothers, Kenny Dale Beach and George Edward Beach, both of Grenada; two sisters, Janette Vance and Barbara Avery, both of Grenada; and two grandchildren, Devin Alexander Wiggins and Cora Lee Beach, both of Duck Hill.

Memorials may be sent to Grenada Church of God, 2384 Carrollton Road, Grenada, Miss. 38901.

Vina A. James

CHARLESTON – Vina Ann James, 81, of Holcomb, died Monday at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston.

Mrs. James was a homemaker.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Newsom Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Paul Cemetery in Cascilla.

Mrs. James is survived by a son, Hayden ‘Billy’ Newton of Cascilla; a daughter, Yvonne Winters of Holcomb; three brothers, Edgar Clolinger of Guys, Tenn., William Clolinger o Jackson and Archie Clolinger of Greenwood; a sister, Frances Robinson of Greenville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Newsom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dolly F. McBride

GREENWOOD – Dolly F. McBride, 69, a native of Indianola, died Monday at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

Mrs. McBride was a retired church secretary for Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member for 27 years. She was also a member of WMU, a Sunday schoolteacher and Bible Drill Leader.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Irving officiating. Burial will be in McBride Family Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mrs. McBride is survived by her husband, W.E. McBride of Greenwood; a son, William McBride of Greenwood; a daughter, Lawanda Peeples of Millington, Tenn.; her father, Carl Marquis of Moorhead; two sisters, Betty Robertson of Greenwood and Sarah Robertson of Jackson; a grandchild; and three step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Dolly McBride Visual Outreach Ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

James G. Turnage

Dr. James G. Turnage Jr., of Grenada, died today at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Alton D. Workman

CHARLESTON – Alton D. Workman, 62, a native of West, Va., died Friday at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Va.

Mr. Workman was a retired heating and air conditioning service technician.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church near Enid. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Enid.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to service.

Mr. Workman is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Workman of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Robert Workman of Sterling, Va.; a daughter, Sherry A. Biggs of Sterling, Va.; a brother, Gary L. Workman of New York; and two granddaughters.
