Johnnie L. Ford

CHARLESTON – Johnnie L. Huddleston Ford, 78, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.

Mrs. Ford was a homemaker. She was a member of Springhill Church of God of Prophecy.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Springhill Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Paynes.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home

Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband, William Henry Ford of Charleston; three sons, Henry Larry Ford, Jimmy Dale Ford, both of Charleston and William Harry Ford of Springhill; six daughters, Revia Howard of Enid, Henrece Murphy, Faye Tingle, Wanda Wortham, Connie Smith, all of Charleston and Linda Jones of Pascagoula; a sister, Ruby Brewer of Mountain View, Ark.; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Womble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard E. Hope

BATESVILLE – Richard Eugene Hope, 46, of Byhalia, a native of Drew, died Thursday at his residence.

Mr. Hope was a roofer and a United States Army veteran.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Hope is survived by two daughters, Jill Hope of Madisonville, Texas and Barbara H. Hensley of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Eugene Hope Hodge of Victoria and Patricia Kemp of Nashville; four brothers, Donald R. Hope of Memphis, Tenn., Ronald J. Hope of Oklahoma, James E. Hope of California and Kenneth W. Hope of Collierville, Tenn.; and a companion, Clara Moses of Byhalia.

Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Aslean Willis

Aslean Willis, 81, of Grenada, died Saturday at the Grenada Lake Medical Center.

The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Jessie E. Yates

WINONA – Jessie Elmo Yates, 75, of Inverness, died Saturday at Beverly Healthcare Center in Ruleville.

Mr. Yates was a retired farmer. He was a member of Ruleville Church of God and a United States Korean War Army veteran.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hebron Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery near Kilmichael.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Yates is survived by two sons, James Yates of Inverness and Donald Yates of Eupora; a daughter, Karen Toney of West Monroe, La.; nine brothers, Luther Yates of Kilmichael, Joe Yates, Franklin Yates, both of Drew, Avery Yates of Indianola, Waldon Yates of Lakeland, Fla., Douglas Yates of Spiro, Okla., Jimmy Yates of Shaw, Earl Yates of Elba, Ala. and C.L. Yates Baker of Southaven; three sisters, Willie Mae Miles of Milton, Fla., Lucille Phillipe of Drew and Ruth Hill of Poteau, Okla.; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
