Jarrius Armstrong

CALHOUN CITY – Jarrius Armstrong, age 6, died Thursday, June 22 in Calhoun City.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Eddie Robinson and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Sammie Doolittle

Sammie Doolittle, age 56, of Bruce, died Wednesday, June 21 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.

Mr. Doolittle was retired from Randall Textron in Grenada and he was a member of the Church of God in Christ.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at the Light House Church of God in Christ in Bruce with Bishop Winford Turner officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Calhoun City.

Eddie Robinson and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Flora D. Everett

Flora D. Everett, age 83, of Holcomb, died Wednesday, June 21 at her home.

Mrs. Everett was born in Carroll County and lived in Money, Ms. for 40 years. She had lived in Holcomb the past eight years and was a homemaker and member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Money. Her husband, James Henry Everett, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at Williams and Lord Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with Rev. Preston Kelly and Rev. Gerald Welch officiating. Visitation will be held today at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood.

Mrs. Everett is survived by three sons, James Troy Everett of Money, Jimmy Ray Everett of Black Hawk, Kenneth Michael Everett of Money; three daughters, Earline Smith of Money, Irene Ferguson of Holcomb, Jenell Lishman of Avalon; one sister, Norma Day of Memphis, Tenn., 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Beacon Harbor Workshop in Greenwood , the American Cancer Society, or Sta-Home Hospice.

Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Schoonover

Dorothy Cahoon Pearl Schoonover, age 93, died Wednesday, June 21 at South Panola Community Hospital in Batesville.

Mrs. Schoonover was a homemaker and a member of the Shoolfield Methodist Church in Memphis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with Rev. Don Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park.

She is survived by a son, Martin L. Lewis of Batesville; a brother, Bert Cahoon of Pine Bluff, Ark., two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Wells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
