A Grenada pastor and his wife are thankful neither of them was hurt after shots were fired into their home last week.
According to the Rev. Amos Russell, he and his wife, Dollie, were enjoying a quiet evening at home on Dec. 21 when shots rang out, and one entered their residence on East Pecan St.
“It certainly frightened us,” said Russell, pastor of Jesus is the Way Church in Grenada.
According to a police report, investigators found three spent casings from a .9 mm pistol outside the Russells’s home.
One bullet pierced the ceiling of the residence on the northwest side and came to rest atop a dresser in the couple’s bedroom, the report said.
The shooting is under investigation, police said.
