A home in east Grenada was severely damaged by fire early Saturday.
According to fire officials, the home of Carol Northrip at 1673 Martha Dr., caught fire around 4:30 a.m. The house is not currently occupied, officials said.
“Crews knocked on our door and asked us to get up and be ready because the fire was so close,” said Gale Lovell, who lives next door.
