Merle Ray Angle
   Merle Ray Angle, 65, of Grenada, passed on from this life on Nov. 11, 2012.
   He was born Sept. 24, 1947, in West Point to parents, Christine Russell and George Quitman Angle. He was preceded in death by his father, George Angle.
   He is survived by his mother, Christine Russell Angle of West Point; one son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Suzanne Angle of Grenada; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy Carrol and Dusty Jourdan of Macon, Miss.; one brother, Swane Angle of Okolona, Miss.; two sisters, Gloria Reed of Starkville and Barbara Joe McCamey of California; three grandchildren, Mallory Ray Angle and Tyler Ray Angle of Grenada and Hallee Ray Jourdan of Macon, Miss.
   He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a retired coach and teacher from the Grenada School District. He was known as a great supporter of the outdoors and youths of Grenada.
   Visitation was held at Garner Harper Funeral Home, Monday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. His funeral was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Friendship Baptist Church.
   Memorials may be made to the Catch a Dream Foundation, PO Box 6280, Starkville, MS 39762.
   Garner Harper was in charge.

Ellen Cox Forrest Brunt

   A graveside service for Ellen Cox Forrest Brunt, 79, of Starkville, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Charleston Cemetery.
  Mrs. Brunt died Nov. 12, 2012, at her home.
  Preceding Mrs. Brunt in death are her husband, Reginald “Bubba” Forrest Sr.; son, Reginald “Reggie” Forrest; and daughter, Terry Forrest.
   Surviving Mrs. Brunt are her husband Retired Col. Julian Brunt of Starkville; a son, Charlie Forrest of Starkville; and two sisters, Henryse “Ressie” Carpenter of Starkville and Christine Jolly of Grenada; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
   The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Powell Corder
   Funeral services for  Powell “Doc” Corder, 75, of Duck Hill, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County.
   Visitation is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at National Funeral Home.
   Powell died Nov. 14, 2012, at his home in Duck Hill.
   He was born on Oct. 24, 1937, and was the son of Walter E. Corder and Annie Crawford Corder of Carroll County.
   Powell was employed as a truck driver for many years. He was a Baptist.
   Powell is survived by his wife, Barbara Vance Corder of Duck Hill; one brother, Lester Franklin Corder of Pascagoula; and a host of nieces and nephews.
   Bro. Tim Lane will officiate the services with Travis Wiggins, Aubrey Wiggins, Paul Wiggins, D.J. Wiggins, Andy Lane, James Corder, and Jim Phelps serving as pallbearers.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Travis Lee Sanders
   Travis Lee Sanders, 64, of Troy, Ala., formerly of Destin, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his home in Troy.
   Funeral services for Travis will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. Rick Hayes officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends from noon until service time on Sunday. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery in Troy with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.
   Travis was born in Albertville Ala., and raised in McComb, Miss. He was the founder and president of Surge Suppression Incorporated, a worldwide company headquartered in Destin  and a loving father of two.
   Travis had an extremely nurturing and giving spirit and was an avid lover of animals, deep sea fishing and cruising on his boat in the Caribbean Islands. He had an ever-growing love for his new home in Troy and will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
   Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sanders and Sarah Odell Haley. He is survived by his fiancée, Robin Eubanks; one daughter, Sarah Nicole Sanders; one son, Tristan Lee Sanders; one brother, Ricky Sanders; and many other lifelong friends.

Henry Lee Tellis

   Funeral services for Henry Lee Tellis, 54, of Scobey, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Persimmon Hill M.B. Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Clark-Williams Funeral Home.
   Mr. Tellis died Nov. 10, 2012, at his home.
  He was born on Nov. 6, 1958, and was the son of Katherine Tellis of Oakland.
  In addition to his mother, surviving Mr. Tellis are his wife, Sharon Tellis of Scobey; step-daughter, Jakesha L. Phipps of Scobey; son, Jalarus D. Phipps of Scobey; eight sisters, Vernell Wright and Barbara A. Petty of Oakland, Johnnie M. Pickens of Grenada, Ora J. Tellis of Charleston, Florence House, Elanie Leland, Nancy House, and Flora Jones, all of Batesville; four brothers, Sammie L. Tellis and Robert Suggs of Oakland, Darnell Tellis of Charleston, and Hezzie L. Tellis of Tillatoba.
  Clark-Wiliams Funeral Home is in charge.
