Merle Ray Angle
   Merle Ray Angle, 65, of Grenada, passed on from this life on Nov. 11, 2012.  
   He was born Sept. 24, 1947, in West Point to parents, Christine Russell and George Quitman Angle. He was preceded in death by his father, George Angle.  
   He is survived by his mother, Christine Russell Angle of West Point; one son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Suzanne Angle of Grenada; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy Carrol and Dusty Jourdan of Macon, Miss.; one brother, Swane Angle of Okolona, Miss.; two sisters, Gloria Reed of Starkville and Barbara Joe McCamey of California; three grandchildren, Mallory Ray Angle and Tyler Ray Angle of Grenada and Hallee Ray Jourdan of Macon, Miss.
   He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a retired coach and teacher from the Grenada School District. He was known as a great supporter of the outdoors and youths of Grenada.
   Visitation was held at Garner Harper Funeral Home, Monday, Nov. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Friendship Baptist Church.

Gloris Jean Hubbard Berryhill

   Funeral services for Gloris Jean Hubbard Berryhill, 63, of Calhoun City, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Greater Pleasant Grove M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.
   Mrs. Berryhill died Nov. 8, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
   She was born on Jan. 25, 1949.
   Mrs. Berryhill was a seamstress, a 1966 graduate of Carrie Dotson High School, and a member of Double Springs M.B. Church, where she served in the choir and on the usher board.
   Surviving Mrs. Berryhill are three daughters, Wanda Berryhill Robinson and Lindsay Berryhill Cook of Calhoun City, Leslie Berryhill of Phenix City, Ala.; two sons, Kelvin Berryhill of Derma and Jessie Berryhill II of Calhoun City; five sisters, Mary Sewornu of Miami, Fla., Shirley Strode, Verna Tillman, and Deborah Thompson, all of Gore Springs, and Carolinda Hubbard of Eupora; and a brother, Julius Hubbard of Gore Springs.

Nellie Bingham Brown
   Funeral services for Nellie Bingham Brown, 102, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Kilmichael, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Kilmichael Baptist Church. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael.
   Mrs. Brown died Nov. 7, 2012, in Pensacola.
   She was the daughter of the late Luther and Rena Palmertree Bingham. She was also a member of Kilmichael Baptist Church.
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Brown in death are her husband, Charlie Brown and her daughter, Frances Stavely.
   Surviving Mrs. Brown are her granddaughter, Starla Dill of Pensacola; grandson, Dr. Charles Stavely of Pensacola; and three great-grandchildren.

Oliver Kenneth Cottingham

   Oliver Kenneth Cottingham, 83, of Grenada, passed on from this life on Nov. 7, 2012. He was born on April 27, 1929, in Mississippi to W.B. “Bub” Cottingham and Sallie Belle Box.
   He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nannie Pearl Morris Cottingham.
   He is survived by one son, Kenneth Lee Cottingham of Winona; two daughters, Alisa Kate Cottingham Davis and Sallie Ann Cottingham of Franklin, Tenn.; and three sisters, Agnes Heath of Winona, Sara Williams of Learned, Miss., and Marilyn Mahaffey of Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Meredith Davis, Ethan Davis, Sarah Cottingham, and Trina Gilbert.
   He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grenada and was a member of Jim Numelee’s Sunday school class. He retired from Baldwin Piano in Greenwood and was an avid gardener and known as a very generous man.
   Visitation was Friday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Garner Harper Funeral Home in Grenada. Services were held at Garner Harper Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. Interment followed in Oddfellow Cemetery in Grenada.
   Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and the Diabetes Foundation.

Marjorie Green Harrell

   Marjorie Green Harrell, 84, of Grenada, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
   She was born on Nov. 10, 1927, in Calhoun County to Howard Green and Vara Spratlin. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and volunteered at Grenada Lake Medical Center.  
   Mrs. Harrell is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd Harrell, and one daughter Nina Gail Chamblee.  
   She was survived by her sons, Jerry Harrell of Grenada, Charles Harrell of Jacksonville, Fla., Randy Harrell and Rodney Harrell of Grenada; daughters, Sandra Koonce of Grenada and Joy Gosa of Big Creek; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  
   Visitation was held at Garner Harper, Friday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.  Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada. Interment followed in  Memorial Gardens in Grenada.
   Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.

Jacqueline Renee Mason
   Funeral services for Jacqueline Renee Mason, 47, of Bruce, were at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Bruce.
   Mrs. Mason died Nov. 9, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
   She was born in Boonville on Aug. 8, 1965, and was the daughter of the late George Boyce Mason and Lucille Conaway Mason.
   Mrs. Mason was a 1983 graduate of Bruce High School and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Mason in death are a sister, Patricia Baily; five brothers, Roy Grooms, Bill Grooms, Robbie Grooms, Bobby Mason and Larry Mason.
   Surviving Mrs. Mason are her daughter, Jade Freelon of Bruce; son, John Freelon Jr. of Bruce; two sisters, Geri Smith of Kenosha, Wis., and Jeanette Hardin of Bruce; six brothers, James Mason of Wesson, Miss., Jimmy Grooms and Jeff Grooms of Thaxton, Miss., Stan Rochelle of Hernando, Kenneth Mason of Calhoun City and Mike Mason of Derma; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary Pearl Green McCullough
   Funeral services for Mary Pearl Green McCullough, 77, of Paris, Miss., were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial followed in Paris Cemetery.
   Mrs. McCullough died Nov. 8, 2012, at her home in Paris.  
   She was born in 1935 in Water Valley, to the late R. S. and Christine Boydston Green.
   Mrs. McCullough was an excellent athlete and played basketball at Camp Ground High School where she was named valedictorian of her graduating class. She retired with over 25 years of service from the Department of Rehabilitation Services and was a member of Paris Baptist Church.   
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. McCullough in death are her son, Ricky McCullough and her sister, Peggy Cummings.
   Surviving Mrs. McCullough are her husband, Charles W. McCullough of Paris; daughter, Tina Mills of Paris; four sons, Brooks McCullough and Robert McCullough of Paris, Charles McCullough of Water Valley, and Sidney McCullough of Batesville; sister, Hazel Johnson of Water Valley, two brothers, Lewis Green of Water Valley and Jimmy Green of Cookeville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert Cecil Misskelley

   Funeral services for Robert Cecil Misskelley, 77, of Carrollton, were at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Providence Baptist Church near Carrollton. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.
   Mr. Misskelley died Nov. 8, 2012, at his residence of heart failure.
   He was the son of the late Grady and Gladys Walters Misskelley.
   Mr. Misskelley was a retired employee of the Mississippi State Forestry Commission and a part-time employee of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Misskelley enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and working with the inmates of the Carroll-Montgomery Correctional Facility.
   In addition to his parents, preceding Mr. Misskelley in death are two sisters, Carleen Wofford and Virginia Martin; two brothers, James W. Misskelley and Grady S. Misskelley.
   Survivors include his wife, Doris Misskelley of Carrollton; two sisters, Lura Kate Neal of North Carrollton and Elizabeth Ann Jordan of Horn Lake; brother, Cooper L. “Pete” Misskelley of North Carrollton; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Barbara Keel Poteete
   A graveside service for Barbara Keel Poteete, 75, of Water Valley was held at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.
   Mrs. Poteete died Nov. 7, 2012, at the Grenada Living Center.  
   She was born in 1937 in Yalobusha County to the late Burrell Zack and Lucille Douglas Keel.  
   Mrs. Poteete enjoyed cooking and loved her work at Borg-Warner where she retired after many years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Water Valley.
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Poteete in death are two sons, Stephen Lee Poteete and Bryan Scott Poteet.
   Surviving Mrs. Poteete are her husband, Bobby Poteete of Water Valley; sister, Linda Doris of Paris, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

Daniel Benton Stevenson

   Funeral services for Daniel Benton “Snooks”  Stevenson, 76, of Charleston, were at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Womble Funeral Home. Burial followed in Charleston Cemetery.
   Mr. Stevenson, an auto body mechanic, died Nov. 9, 2012, in an automobile accident.  
   Womble Funeral Home was in charge.
