No charges have been filed and no arrests made. The case is closed.
That’s the word from Interim Police Chief Russell Carver concerning a bizarre shooting that occurred shortly before midnight on Sept. 25 on Springhill Rd.
According to Carver, Constella Mullin, 61, was shot in the chest during what the chief called a domestic disturbance.
Mullin’s wife and two daughters were in the house at the time of the shooting, but Carver wouldn’t speculate if either of them shot Mullin.
Mullin drove himself to Grenada Lake Medical Center, and from there was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
According to Carver, Mullin is home and doing fine.
