The downtown square will be rocking Saturday evening with the “Music on the Square” series.
Blaine Bowman and his Good-Time Band will bring their special mix of upbeat tunes, a Gospel message and even a little comedy to Grenada’s downtown.
“It’s great to have a family-oriented act such as this bring its talents to our city,” said Virginia Fulton, administrative assistant with the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce, which is sponsoring the event.
Bowman’s band plays more than 200 concerts a year, featuring everything from county blues, to Western swing, to jazz fusion.
“Music is something that everybody can enjoy. It’s a great infusion of entertainment and creates a gathering space for the community to come together,’ said Fulton.
The music starts at 6 p.m. with no admission cost.
