Earl Lamar Benson Sr.
   Graveside service for Earl Lamar “Baby” Benson, 82, of Webb, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sumner.
   Mr. Benson died Sept. 24, 2012, at his home.  
   He was born on April 29, 1930, in Webb, and was the son of Arthur Jeff Benson and Helen Shellman Benson.  
   Mr. Benson was a member of Webb Baptist Church, Lions Club, Civic Club, American Legion,  a former four-term mayor, and a Korean Conflict veteran.
   Surviving Mr. Benson are his wife, Corrinne Davis Benson of Webb; two sons, Lamar Benson Jr. of Starkville and Jeff Benson of Webb; two brothers,  Billy Benson of Clarksdale and  Bobby Benson of Slidell, La.; and two granddaughters.
   Memorials may be made to the donor of choice.

Ruth M. Boggs
   Funeral services for Ruth M. Boggs, 77, of Winona, are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
   Visitation is Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Boggs died Sept. 24, 2012, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona of heart failure.
   She was the daughter of  the late Joseph Vardaman and Fannie Belle Windham Morris.
   Mrs. Boggs was a retired sitter for the elderly and a homemaker. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Winona.
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Boggs in death are her husbands, Johnny Rhodes, Edwin McDowell and John W. Boggs Jr.
   Survivors include two daughters, Terri Pindel and Pamela Caldwell of Winona; a son, Kenneth W. McDowell of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Jean Oswalt of Columbia, S,C.; a brother, Anderson Morris of Sardis; eight grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Agnes E. Dorman
   Funeral services for Agnes E. Dorman, 91, of Vaiden were at 3 p.m. Tuesday,  Sept. 25, at Oliver Chapel. Burial followed in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
   Mrs. Dorman died Sept. 23, 2012, at Attala County Nursing Home in Kosciusko.
   Mrs. Dorman was the daughter of the late Frank and Lottie Gober Devine.
   She was a retired nurse’s aide and a homemaker. She was also a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dorman and two daughters, Iva Lois Hodges and Edith Morgan.
   Survivors include three daughters, Jeanette Mitchell of Cascilla, Tommie Overstreet of Vaiden and Margaret Price of Kosciusko; a sister, Frances Coburn of Winona; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard Sisler Eubanks
   Graveside service for Richard Sisler Eubanks, 63, of Coffeeville, were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Pisgah Cemetery in Yalobusha County.
   Mr. Eubanks died Sept. 21, 2012.  
   He was born in Greenville to the late Lee Sisler and Shelly Jessie Mae Craven Eubanks.
   Mr. Eubanks was a longtime resident of Yalobusha County and worked at Borg Warner many years before retiring from Winchester Corporation. He served in the Mississippi Army National Guard where he earned honors for marksmanship and was a senior carpenter. He enjoyed working with his hands and was a mechanic with a passion for old cars. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, trail riding, hunting and fixing things. He was a member of First Christian Church of Water Valley.
   Survivors include his daughter, Linda Michelle Horton of Coffeeville; two sons, Edward S. Eubanks and William Chad Eubanks of Coffeeville; two sisters, Julie Horn and Linda Nunnally of El Dorado, Ark.; five brothers, Lee Eubanks, Ronald Eubanks, Neal Eubanks, David “Pete” Eubanks, and Jimmy Eubanks, all of Water Valley; and two grandchildren.

Betty Dee Kehoe Melton

   Funeral services for Betty Dee Kehoe Melton, 85, of Water Valley, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial followed in Delay Baptist Church Cemetery in Water Valley.
   Mrs. Melton died Sept. 22, 2012, at her home.  
   She was born on Nov. 11, 1926 in Panola County to the late Curtis David and Clyde Hollinger Kehoe.  
   Prior to moving to Water Valley, Mrs. Melton lived in Red Oak, Texas.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.  
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Melton in death are her husband, Jack Melton; five children, Steve Melton, JoAnn Jordon, Betty Frances Taylor, Jerry Melton, and Louise Franks.
   Surviving Mrs. Melton are her son, Ricky Melton of Gatesville, Texas; a sister, Hattie Mae Matthis of Water Valley; three brothers, Ben Horan, Earl Kehoe and Dewitt Kehoe all of Water Valley; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Seven Oaks Funeral Home was in charge.

Klara Lee Shannon

   Funeral services for Klara Lee Shannon, 74, of Enid, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Enid. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is Friday from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. in Cooley’s Mortuary in Batesville and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
   Ms. Shannon died Sept. 25, 2012.
   She was born on Jan. 4, 1938, in Gaines Landing, Ark., and was the daughter of Cleveland McKenzie Jones and Beatrice Walton Thompson.
   Ms. Shannon was a retired factory worker and homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church.
   Surviving Ms. Shannon are six daughters, Gwendolyn D. Shannon and Shirley Lyons of Enid, Minister Cynthia Cole of Sardis, Darlister Cosby and Angelia Martin of Batesville, Shirley Cain of Water Valley; two sons, Jimmy R. Shannon of Courtland and James “Al” Shegog of Batesville; five brothers, Harry Walker of Markham, Ill., Jessie Jones of Lake Village, Ark., Sammie Newton of Pine Bluff, Ark., Dorsey Newton of Warren, Ark., and Fred Newton of Little Rock, Ark.; 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Cooley's Mortuary is in charge.
