Ardale Crim
   Ardale Crim, 58, of Grenada, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.  
   Graveside services are at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the Crim Family Cemetery on Hurricane Road in Grenada.  
   Ardale was born on Feb. 12, 1954, in Lake Village, Ark., to Charles and Retha Davison Crim. He was a Baptist. He was employed as a tankerman for Crowley Marine Inc. He was a member of the Red Grass Hunting Club and Homeland Security.
   Ardale was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Retha Crim.
   Survivors include his wife, Betty White Crim of Grenada; three daughters, Leigh Brondum (Andy), Tina Arendale (John) and Diane Crim, all of Grenada; one sister, Lisa Blocker of Grenada; one brother, Delaney Crim of Grenada; eight grandchildren, Shelby Arendale, Nichole Arendale, Cori Arendale, Heather Carter, Tres Carter, Alley Blaylock, Erick Lehman, and John Brondum; and four great-grandchildren.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Frances Lorene Scarberry
   Frances Lorene Scarberry, 92, of Grenada, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.
   She was born on Aug. 25, 1920, in Choctaw County to the late Robert Lee and Lillie May Vickery Haynes. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God in Greenwood.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Allen Scarberry, one son, Robert Allen Scarberry, four brothers, and two sisters.
   She is survived by three sons, Floyd Scarberry (Pat) of Pelahatchie, Miss., Lee Roy Scarberry (Jean) of Bowling Green Ky., Billy Glen Scarberry (Brenda) of Leesburg, Miss.; three daughters, Francis Scarberry Moore of Sardis, Brenda Orsbon (Paul) of Coffeeville, Alice Fay Scarberry Tucker (Joe) of Morton, Miss.; a loving and faithful daughter-in-law, Charlotte Scarberry of Pelahatchie, Miss., 18 grandchildren, 37 great- grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
   Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lagrange Cemetery in Eupora.
   Memorials may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital.

Mozelle Staten
   Ann Mozelle “Jo” McBride Staten, 96, of North Carrollton, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Greenwood LeFlore Hospital  after complications from a fall.
   Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. The Rev. George Smith and Dr. Brent Barker will officiate the service.
   Mrs. Staten was born on March 9, 1916, to the late Jessie P. and Mollie T. McBride in West, Miss. She was an avid seamstress and loved being outdoors. She was a homemaker and employee of Baldwin Piano until her retirement. She was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church.
   Along with her parents, Mrs. Staten was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Staten; granddaughter, Lauriann Herbert; brother, Fred McBride; four sisters, Flora McNeer, Minnie Wigley, Estelle Mayfield, and Grace Elkin; and son-in-law, David Herbert.
   She is survived by her daughter, Linda Staten Herbert of North Carrollton; three sons, John Staten (Kay) of Grenada, Charlie Staten (Bonita) of Greenwood, and Andy Staten (Kay) of Showlow, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
   Pallbearers will be Dave Herbert, John Garrett, Brennan Sparks, Greg Staten, Gene Bell, Terry Tingle, and Chance Herbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Rector and Johnny Summerville.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carrollton Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 5, Carrollton, MS 38917.

Virginia Lee Nabors Tilghman

   Virginia Lee Nabors Tilghman, 75, of Grenada, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Grenada Living Center.
   Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Grenada Church of God. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the church. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in the Jefferson Community.
   Virginia was born on April 22, 1937, in Grenada County to Jim Davis Nabors and Velma Junkins Nabors. She was a member of the Grenada Church of God. She was employed as a waitress and worked at Pennaco but most of her life she was a homemaker.  
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Tilghman; her parents, Jim and Velma Nabors; and a sister, Loyce Sullivan.
   Survivors include her son, Johnny Tilghman of Grenada; two daughters, Teresa Tilghman and Marsha Ward, both of Grenada; five sisters, Margie Jones of Carrollton, June Tidwell of Coffeeville, Jane Norwood, Peggy Harbin, and Hazel Franklin, all of Grenada; four grandchildren, John Tilghman, Jennifer Realmuto, Dustin Ward, and Presley Ward; and two great-grandchildren, Bret and Lannie Tilghman.
   Bro. James McElroy and Bro. Lee Hoop will be officiating the service.

Nell Ruth Grantham Tingle

   Nell Ruth Grantham Tingle, 80, of Holcomb, died Sept. 14, 2012, in Grenada.
   She was born on Dec. 28, 1931, in Grenada County to the late Percy Clyde and Velma Ward Grantham. She was a member of Sparta Methodist Church in Holcomb.
   In addition to her parents, preceding Mrs. Tingle in death are one daughter, Brenda K. Freeman; one son, Barry Tingle; one sister, Catherine Deloach; and two brothers, Alton Grantham and Richard Grantham.
   She is survived by her husband, Morris Tingle of Holcomb; one son, Thomas Tingle (Grace) of the U.S. Virgin Islands; a daughter-in-law, Judy Tingle of Holcomb; one sister, Alma Osbourne of Alabama; four grandchildren, Tiffany Honeycutt (Parker) of Holcomb, Courtney Tingle of Holcomb, Ashley Tingle of Slidell, La., and Christopher Tingle of Baton Rouge, La.; two great-grandchildren, Carson Honeycutt of Holcomb and Alexa Myers of Slidell, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
   Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada.
   Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m., at Sparta Methodist Church in Holcomb with interment following in the church cemetery.
   Garner-Harper Funeral Home is in charge.
