As tropical storm Isaac bares down on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Entergy is reminding customers to be prepared.
“We advise customers to  prepare now for up to three days of food and water, to check on elderly neighbors and family and to remain away from any downed power lines,” said Jim Lyles, the customer account manager for Entergy in Grenada.
Isaac, which as of Monday morning was still categorized as a tropical storm, was expected to be upgraded to a category two hurricane. Reports said the storm was expected to hit the Gulf Coast Tuesday morning, with a storm surge of 6-12 feet.
Governor Phil Bryant declared a state of emergency Sunday.
