After more than nine years overseeing the finances of the Grenada Lake Medical Center, Keith Heartsill is resigning to take a new job in Meridian.
Heartsill, 55, said Friday that he would resign his position as chief financial officer of GLMC effective Aug. 3.
Heartsill, a native of Pensacola, Fla., took his first position in hospital financial administration 32 years ago with Humana in Florence, Ala. GLMC was the eighth hospital for which Heartsill worked.
Heartsill will take the job of CFO at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian on Aug. 6. Anderson is a two-campus, 400-room hospital that claims to be the largest medical facility in east Mississippi and west Alabama.
As a member of Grenada First Baptist Church as well as president of the Grenada Camp of the Gideons International, Heartsill said he prayerfully considered the move. He is convinced it’s the right thing for him and his wife, Amy.
“I felt a real peace about accepting their offer,” said Heartsill, adding that working with the GLMC staff and in service of the people of Grenada County has been one of the highlights of his career.
