Three people were injured in a Friday night wreck near the Deerfield subdivision in Grenada.
As of Monday morning, the official accident report was not available. However, according to Sgt. Ben Williams of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a man he identifed as Charles Starks of Grenada was traveling westbound on Highway 8 when his pickup struck the vehicle of Gene Lyons and his wife, Deanie, also of Grenada.
The couple were traveling eastbound and attempting to turn left into the Deerfield subdivision, according to Williams.
All three were transported to Grenada Lake Medical Center.
Deanie Lyons was then airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
