George Dees
   George Dees, 78, of Grenada, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Visitation was held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at National Funeral Home.  Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Grenada Memorial Gardens.
   George was born on May 7, 1934, in Calhoun County to Joe Allen Dees and Beatrice Patterson Dees.  He was a Baptist and a farmer.
   Survivors include his wife, Melba Dees of Grenada; two daughters, Margaret McIntyre of Grenada and Rhonda Rogers of Hernando; two sons, Mark Allen Dees of Schlater and Clint Dees of Inverness; one sister, Josephine Crawford of Southaven; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   National Funeral Home was in charge.

Lorrie Gaither
   Funeral services for Lorrie Gaither, 50, of Bruce, were at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Oakland Baptist Church in Oakland. Burial followed in Oakland City Cemetery.
   Mrs. Gaither died June 27, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
   She was born May 22, 1962, in Memphis, to Maurice E. and Sara Price Gaither.
   Mrs. Gaither was employed for many years as a butcher for Kroger Foods. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family, and enjoyed showing and riding horses, piecing quilts, listening to Gospel singing and going to church. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
   Survivors include her daughter, Whitney Lea Gaither Scribner of Bruce; a son, Kevin James Gaither of Bruce; a sister, Melissa Self of Water Valley; three brothers, Dale Gaither, Eric Gaither of Cordova, Tenn., and Daryl Gaither of Grenada; her parents, Maurice and Louise Gaither of Oakland; and two grandchildren.

Dr. L.C. Henson
   Funeral services for Dr. L.C. Henson, 84, are Tuesday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at Huntsville Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
   Visitation is Monday, July 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona and Tuesday, July 3, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
   Dr. Henson died July 1, 2012, at Kilmichael Hospital of heart failure.
   He was born Aug. 7, 1927, in Montgomery County, to Chalmas and Nancy Henson. He attended Delta State and The University of Mississippi Medical School in Oxford. Dr. Henson was a graduate of the LSU School of Medicine and completed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He was the doctor at Kilmichael Hospital from 1957-2001.
   Among Dr. Henson’s many club and organizational memberships were the Lions Club, North Central Medical Society, Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians, Mississippi State Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Mississippi Cattleman Association.
   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother C.L. Henson.
   Dr. Henson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patty Embrey Henson of Kilmichael; two sons, Dr. Kenneth D. Henson of Sarasota, Fla., and Wade Henson of Kilmichael; three grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
   The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Katrina Poe and the Kilmichael Hospital family for the love and care that was shown to Dr. Henson.

Eric Roger Pogue
   Graveside services for Eric Roger Pogue, 43, of River Ridge, La., were at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Huntsville Cemetery in Kilmichael.
   Mr. Pogue died June 22, 2012, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, La.
   He was a disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
   Mr. Pogue was preceded in death by an uncle, Richard Pogue; and his grandparents, Manuel and Carolyn Pogue.
   Survivors include his mother, Sherron Pogue of River Ridge; a daughter, Sky Suzanne Pogue of River Ridge; a brother, John Bumgardner of River Ridge; and two uncles.
