Although they wouldn’t discuss details, members of the Grenada County Board of Supervisors and Grenada Lake Medical Center Board said Wednesday that they continued to deliberate about what to do with the county-owned hospital.
Members of the two boards met Tuesday in executive session with representatives from the Ridgeland-based Butler Snow law firm. They continued their discussion over whether to do nothing, sell the hospital, lease the facility or lease with the option to purchase.
“We’re taking this very seriously and trying to figure out what’s best for the hospital employees and the other citizens of Grenada County,” said Board President and District Two Supervisor Chad Bridges in a phone interview Wednesday.
The supervisors first spoke with the GLMC board in March about employee concerns and decided to seek consultation for possible sale of the hospital.
