Joyce I. Christian
CALHOUN CITY - Joyce I. Christian, 90, died Friday at Hillcrest Hospital.
Mrs. Christian was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jim Vance, Paul Smith and Anthony Kay officiating. Burial was in Calhoun City Cemetery.
Mrs. Christian was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Christian; and her parents, Tom Ivy and Pearl Hope Ivy.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Rex Christian of Calhoun City; a daughter, Martha Nell Christian of Calhoun City; and two sisters, Kathern Eastland of Pontotoc and Faye Davis of Edwards.
Pallbearers were Bobby Henderson, Mike Eastland, Larry Eastland, Ned Daniels, Paul Moore Jr. and Charles W. Hardin.
Pryor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Joseph H. Grant
Joseph Howell Grant, 69, of Grenada, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Grant was a retired employee of Heatcraft, Inc. He was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church and a United States Air Force veteran.
The funeral was at 3 p.m. today at National Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Clarence Cooper and the Rev. Travis Gray officiating. Burial was in Duck Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Grant is survived by his wife, Peggy Grant of Grenada; a son, Jerry Grant of Grenada; a daughter, Jan Rutkowski of Grenada; his mother, Emmie Grant of Duck Hill; five brothers, Floyd Grant, Donald Grant, David Grant, both of Grenada, John Grant of Duck Hill and Will Grant of Oakland; six sisters, Mary Alice Crenshaw, Linda Lumbley, both of Winona, Bertha Blakely, Jo Haynie, both of Grenada, and Ann Alexander of Silsbee, Texas; and three grandchildren, Brandy Smith of Grenada, Lauren S. McCaulla of Fayetteville, N.C. and Justin Grant of Winona.
National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Betty V. Hunt
Betty Virginia Crump Hunt, 74, of Grenada, died today at the Grenada Lake Medical Center.
The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

H.H. Williams Sr., 76, of Grenada, died Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tenn.
Mr. Williams was a retired lineman for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4488, and a graduate of Water Valley High School.
The funeral was at 10 a.m. today at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Lucy Ann Williams of Grenada; a son, Howard Williams Jr. of Waco, Texas; two step-sons, James F. Rappe of Okolona and Bill L. Shaw of Coffeeville; two step daughters, Judy Clark of Greenwood and Shula Shaw of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Paul Williams of Water Valley; two sisters, Edna Brown and Ruth Hyde, both of Water Valley; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
