Angela N. Bruce

BATESVILLE - Angela Nicole 'Angie' Bruce, 28, of Sardis, died Sunday at her residence.

Ms Bruce was a homemaker.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. today at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clay Baker officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.

Ms Bruce is survived by a son, Kevin Nicholas Bruce of Sardis; her parents, James William and Barbara Ann Martin Wells of Sardis; and her grandparents, James A. and Edith Pauline Martin of Oxford and Virginia Aileene Wells of Pope.

Wells Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

O.C. Kerr

O.C. Kerry, 64, of Grenada, died Tuesday at Grenada Lake Medical Center.

Mr. Kerr was a business owner and operator of D & N Auto Parts and Nite Package Store. He was a 1955 graduate of Cleveland High School and a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1955 to 1959.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Hentz, Randy Carver and Ken Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Kerr is survived by his wife, Peggy Roberts Kerr of Grenada; three sons, Jason Allen Guthrie, Dallas Shelton Kerr and Cory Bradley Kerr, all of Grenada; two daughters, Cindy Sailing of Newark, Ohio and Becky Ware of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Alfred Kerr of Cleveland and Kenneth Kerr of Greenville; two sisters, Hazel Baker of Southaven and Edna Davis of Cleveland; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Garner-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie M. Long

GREENWOOD - Willie Mae Long, 87, a native of Carroll County, died Tuesday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital.

Miss Long was a retired nurse's aide for Greenwood-Leflore Hospital and Golden Age Nursing Home. She was a member of West President Church of Christ in Greenwood.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Old Union Cemetery in Carroll County with the Rev. Alex Bayes officiating.

Miss Long is survived by a sister-in-law, Thelma Long of Greenwood; and several nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Steve Long, Warren Long, Billy Tindall, Bill Lord Jr. and Marcus Riley.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Thelma M. Rawles

WINONA - Thelma May Rawles, 88, of Kilmichael, died Tuesday at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital.

Mrs. Rawles was a homemaker. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rawles was the widow of Ivan M. Rawles.

She is survived by five sons, Jim Rawles of Phoenix, Ariz., Ivan 'Junior' Rawles of Winona, Richard Rawles of Kilmichael, Frank Rawles of Owasso, Wis. and Gary Rawles of Horn Lake; five daughters, Marian Reel Stewart, Betty Jordan of Burton, Mich., Margie Melton of Lake Charles, La., Luella Rawles of Kilmichael and Virginia Palmertree of Kosciusko; a sister, Lucille Updyke of Lake Lakeland, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild.

Oliver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Testa

Joseph Testa, of Grenada, died today at his residence.

The funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Robert F. Walters

RULEVILLE - Robert F. 'Bob' Walters, 60, formerly of Grenada, died Monday at North Sunflower County Hospital.

Mr. Walters was a retired grocer and merchant.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ruleville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Walters officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Grenada.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Walters was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Walters.

He is survived by a wife, Cindy Walters of Ruleville; a son, Robert H. Walters of Cleveland; two daughters, Lori Walters of Brattleboro, Vt., and Dee Walters of Conway, Ark.; two stepsons, Michael P. Hardin of Virginia Beach, Va. and Brannon C. Hardin of Las Vegas, Nev.; his parents, Winston 'Bud' and Allene B. Walters of Grenada; two brothers, Bill Walters of Southaven and Winston 'Buddy' Walters of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be David Leech, Fred Henry, Mac Walker, Bobby Murphree, Galen Dahlar, and Frick Luna.
