Owen Guy Cunningham
    Owen Guy Cunningham, 68, a native of Holcomb, and a resident of Avondale, La., passed away on June 17, 2010.  
    He was the beloved son of the late Bill and Etheline Cunningham; husband of Mary Ann LeBlanc;  father of David Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, and Melinda Mitchell;  brother of Barbara Ann Henson and Ray Cunningham, the late Grover Hendrix Cunningham and Ogaleen Knott; grandfather of Justin Cunningham, Cody and Kerry Mitchell, and Wiley Dequeant.  
    Mr. Cunningham served in the United States Army and retired from Greyhound in New Orleans.    
    A private burial for the family will be held at Bethel Cemetery with a celebration of life following the burial for friends and family at 11 a.m., July 2, 2010, at the home of Ethel Fay and Tommy Jackson, at 104 Paschal Street, in Holcomb.
    Mothe Funeral Home of Marrero, La., is in charge of arrangements.  

Norman L. Ezell
    Funeral services for Norman L. Ezell, of Duck Hill, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Duck Hill Baptist Church, with burial following in the Duck Hill Cemetery. Dr. Chas Rowland officiated the services. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of the arrangements.
    Visitation was Thursday from 9 until 10 a.m. at Duck Hill Baptist Church.
    Mr. Ezell died at his residence on Monday, June 21, 2010. He was 76 years old.
    Mr. Ezell was the son of the late Henry Hall Ezell and the late Leeolure Ware Ezell. He was the retired president of Duck Hill Bank and the former Union Planters Bank in Duck Hill. He was a member and deacon of Duck Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Duck Hill Masonic Lodge. He was a former mayor of Duck Hill and established funding for, and was instrumental in, the building of the Duck Hill Fire Department.
    Mr. Ezell is survived by his wife, Maxine Kirk Ezell of Duck Hill; a daughter, Valerie Scott (Barry) of Rogers, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Jordan Lee Scott, Drew David Scott, and Anna Catherine Scott, all of Rogers.
    Pallbearers were Loyd Chism, Gary Waugh, John Bennett, Holly Piner, Ronnie Bennett, and Troy Kilburn.  Honorary pallbearers were Dynamite Kirk, Pete Kirk, Charles Bowman, Charles Cochran, Eris Carlton, James Bowen, Gary Kirk, G. C. MacAnally, and John Grant.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Duck Hill Fire Department Emergency Operations Center in Duck Hill.
