The Grenada County Board of Supervisors this week received a letter of recognition for an excellent financial audit and heard an update from an appointed committee member assigned to help the disadvantaged.
The state auditor’s office recognizes county governments that exhibit excellent financial practices. The basis for this recognition is determined during the annual audit.
Windham and Lacey PLLC in Pearl conducted the audit.
An audit is designed to give reasonable assurance that financial statements are fairly presented and that the county has complied with applicable laws and regulations.
