The Grenada Tourism Commission on Monday approved its budget for next fiscal year and agreed to pay a grant to Grenada’s Downtown Jubilee.
Downtown Jubilee will take  place Sept. 20 on the historic downtown Square, and folks should start hearing about it soon, thanks to an advertising grant of $4,000 from Grenada Tourism.
“The festival will spend the money advertising on television, radio, posters, newspapers and various other media,” said Tourism Executive Director Samantha Hilmus.
Payment of the grant fell under the July financials, which the board approved.
Members Larry Harges, along with Karen Williams, who represents the interests of Grenada’s hotels, motels and restaurants, and Larry Collins, who represents the interests of the chamber of commerce, all voted in favor of approving the July financials.
