Mississippi’s community colleges are vital to developing a robust, educated workforce, according to Sen. Thad Cochran.
Cochran, the nation’s third most senior senator, and a six-term senator, paid a visit to Holmes Community College on Monday to talk to administrators and to hear their concerns.
“My parents both worked in education, so I know how important it is to the future of our state and what a challenging job teachers have,” said Cochran, speaking to a group that included Holmes President Dr. Jim Haffey, Executive Director Dr. Rick Gregory, Board of Trustees Member Margaret Davis and University of Mississippi Medical Center Grenada CEO David Putt, among others.
