Kirk Academy kicks off an exciting new year tomorrow and board members are enthusiastic.
“The addition of Dr. Randy Poss as headmaster has been tremendous for our school, and he’s doing a fine job realizing his vision,” said Kirk Board President Coley Bailey Jr.
Enrollment is up about 15 students from last year, to near 400 this year, Bailey said and grades 1-5 have been split into two classes each.
That’s part of the reason six new faculty have come onboard, Bailey said.
“The maximum for each class will be about 18 students, with some as few as 12 students,” said Bailey. “Teachers will be able to offer a lot more one-on-one attention to students in this environment,” Bailey said.
