A Gore Springs man was arrested Wednesday but is out on bond after his neighbor was shot during a confrontation.
According to Sheriff Alton Strider, a man he identified as Joseph Flint Starnes, 23, was arrested shortly after 7 p.m., after his neighbor was wounded during what the sheriff called a protracted dispute.
The victim was identifed by Strider as 43-year-old Danny K. Wynne Jr., who was flown from the scene to Region One Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the groin.
No further information was available about Wynne’s condition as of Monday.
