The Grenada Economic Development Office is working closely with the Board of Supervisors to develop a plot in the Air Industrial and Technology Park for use by a potential industry.
No industries are lined up yet, according to District Two and Board President Chad Bridges, but installing water, sewer, power and other utilities will make the plot, which he said was more than 100,000 square feet, located across Resolute Forrest Products, much more attractive.
“We hope to soon have a developed site, so that we don’t have to show potential industries a grassy, grown-up field,” said Bridges.
According to Bridges, the supervisors will receive grants to aid in the construction.
“We cannot disclose the suppliers of those grants just yet,” said Bridges.
The supervisors will also build a temporary, gravel, access road to the property.
