The Lake City will welcome home on Wednesday some 20 military personnel who have served their country in Afghanistan.
Members of the 858th Engineering Company will return home after a nine-month deployment.
The soldiers will be welcomed with a reception on Main Street at noon.
“This is a small way for us to recognize these extraordinary men and women who have served us and their country so well,” said Grenada Tourism Executive Director Samantha Hilmus, whose office coordinated the reception. “Grenada is a patriotic city, with a lot of people who’ve served their country, and we’re glad to have this particular group home now.”
