Grenada officials are expecting a robust turnout for the June 24 runoff election between Republican challenger state Sen. Chris McDaniel and incumbent U.S. Senator Thad Cochran.
Neither candidate received a majority of the vote in the Republican primary on June 3.
Time is running out to cast absentee votes.
“We’re open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for voters to cast an absentee ballot,” said Circuit Clerk Linda Barnette. “Saturday will be the last day to cast an absentee ballot. We’ll be open from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday for absentee voting. Ballots mailed must be received by Monday,” she said.
