The Grenada School Board on Tuesday approved the acceptance of a grant that will help at-risk student and accepted an innovate, new code of conduct model.
The board voted unanimously to accept a 21st Century Grant that will provide alternative learning opportunities at the Career and Technical Center.
Culinary arts, podcasting, pottery and ceramics and auto mechanics are just some of the courses available to students who may be struggling academically or with behavior issues.
The grant will provide $1.6 million over five years.
“We think this is a wonderful learning opportunity for our students at the technical center, and their success is of utmost importance to us,” said Superintendent Dr. David Daigneault.
