Michael Eugene Booker
Funeral services for Michael Eugene Booker, 46, of Grenada, are at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Mt. Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Clark-Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Booker died June 3, 2014, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
He was born on Aug. 21, 1967, to Zella Mae Rounds and the late Percy Rounds.
Mr. Booker was a musician for multiple churches and gospel groups. He was a former employee of Pioneer Meat Processing of Grenada. He was also a member of Mt. Grove M.B. Church and a 1987 graduate of Coffeeville High School.
He is survived by seven sisters, Joan Smith, Cathy Devault, Darlene Jones, and Denise Cottom, all of Coffeeville, Jeanette Booker of Chicago, Ill., Addie Collins of Dalton, Ill., and Joyce Balentine of St. Louis, Mo.; four brothers, Lee Eddie Rounds of Alton, Ill., Walter Rounds, Jerome Booker and Audie Booker, all of Coffeeville.

Martha L. Brown
Martha L. Brown, 87, of Holcomb, died
Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She was born on Jan. 29, 1927, to Andy O. Carver
and Tyza Martin Brown. She was employed at Pennaco Hoisery and was a
faithful member of the Van Dorn Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Brown, and one brother Paul Carver.
She is survived by two sons, Edward (Jean) Brown of Live Oak, Fla., and
John W. (LaDonna) Brown of Holcomb; one daughter, Elizabeth (Donnie)
Schmidt of Live Oak Fla.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren
and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday,
June 7, 2014, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Garner-Harper Funeral
Home. Interment will follow in Sparta United Methodist Church Cemetery

Funeral services for Sharon Smith Fisk, 54, of Grenada, are at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, June 6, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
Sharon died June 4, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi.
She was born in Greenville, Miss., on Oct. 18, 1959, and was the daughter of Benny Smith and Betty Jane Vance Smith .
Sharon was teller in the banking and financing industry. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Fisk of Grenada; one step-daughter, Bridget Mobley of Santa Ana, Calif.; her father and step-mother, Benny and Nita Smith of Grenada; two brothers, Bryant Smith of Terry, Miss., and Mark Smith of Georgia; three grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Vance Smith.

Shed Hill Hunger Jr.
Funeral services for Shed Hill Hunger Jr., 87, of Winona, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona, with the Rev. Rusty Keen officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona with military honors at graveside.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 3, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
Mr. Hunger died Sunday, June 1, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona of heart failure.
He was born in Winona on Oct. 11, 1926. He was the son of the late Shed Hill and Lucy Watson Hunger.
Mr. Hunger was the retired owner of Winona Dry Cleaning and a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church. Mr. Hunger was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Haven. He was an Eagle Scout and served as Scout Master of Troop 39. He earned a B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a former Rotarian and a Shriner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Charles Hunger; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Richardson Hunger.
Survivors include his daughter, Alleda Hunger Joseph of Winona; two sons, Shed H. Hunger III (Tammy) of Winona and James Frank Hunger of Winona; one brother, Frank Watson Hunger of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Shed H. Hunger IV of Birmingham, Ala., Lucy Glasner (Jared), Libby Joseph, Lace Temple (Michael), Juston Herbert and Phillip Dotson, all of Winona, Lauren Herbert of Vaiden; a special cousin, Lanelle Baxter (Jim) of Augusta, Ga.; and special caregivers, Connie Gulley and Carolyn Richardson.
Pallbearers were Shed Hunger IV, Jared Glasner, Michael Temple, Juston Herbert, Bobby Joe Johnson and Joe Moore.

Funeral services for Emma “Mommy Emma” Jackson, 84, of Coffeeville, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at Pleasant Grove Church in Bryant. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson died May 31, 2014, at Baptist East Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1929, to Peter Collins and Mary Ella Collins.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Louise Jackson Logan; a son, Cecil Jackson; and a brother, Dennis Collins.
She is survived by her husband, R.L. Jackson; six daughters, Ida Townes of Grenada, Cassandra Jackson and Theresa Jackson, both of Coffeeville, Betty Stovall of Calhoun City, Yvonne Barr of Chicago, Mary Johnson of St. Paul; two sons, Willie Paul Jackson of Columbus, Miss., and Bennie Collins of Flint, Mich.; three sisters, Maggie Jones, Mildred Jones and Louise Lott, all of Grenada; two brothers, Earnest Collins of Harrisburg and Pete Hayward of Chicago.

Braxten Joshua McCraney
Braxten Joshua McCraney, 17 month-old infant son of Branden and Kirstin McCraney of Southaven, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at LeBonheur Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Peebles West Funeral Chapel, 10670 U.S. Highway 64, Oakland, Tenn.
Visitation is 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fayette County Memorial Park at Oakland, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, Braxten is survived by his maternal grandparents, Deborah Miller of Memphis, Tenn., Johnny and Virginia Miller of Rossville, Tenn., and his paternal grandparents, Dena and John Upchurch of Clarksdale and Winford McCraney of Grenada.
