Ronnie Hand (left) with the Christian Motorcycle Association blesses the bike of Eric Harris, who is a member of the Bondage Breakaz motorcycle club.

Staff Reports

A local motorcycle group received a blessing Wednesday before they set out for the east coast.
Members of the Bondage Breakaz got their bikes blessed by their brothers in leather before they set out for South Carolina for a motorcycle rally.
Bikers from the Christian Motorcycle Association were on-hand, praying over bikes and riders as the men packed their gear and prepared to set out.
The 13 members of the Bondage Breakaz said that they were going to participate in the brotherhood of bikers at the rally and to represent the Lake City.
“Our mission is to share fellowship and to give back to the community,” said Club President Calvin Brown.
The Bondage Breakaz frequently contribute to charitable causes. At the beginning of the school year, they handed out free supplies, and they recently raised nearly $500 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
