Grenadians will have an opportunity to join their voices  in prayer with others throughout the nation on May 1.
People of faith in the Lake City will lift up their voices from 12:20 to 12:40 p.m. on the historic Downtown Square.
The 63rd Annual National Day of Prayer will be a day for people of faith to come together across racial, denominational and even religious lines to pray for the country and its leaders.
“This day is important because our nation needs the Lord,” said Pastor Howard Green of the Church of the Nazarene in Grenada. “We’re in bad shape in every way, and Christians can see that,” said Green. “We need to get back to our roots in prayer.”
Green is part of the Greater Grenada Ministerial Association, a group of pastors who are helping organize the event.
