Amanda Conley raised her geometry grade from a D to a B, and the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce considered that reason to celebrate.
“It feels great. I’ve worked so hard,” said Conley, a senior at Grenada High School.
Conley was one of six students honored Wednesday by the chamber’s Education Committee for being most improved over the last nine weeks.
The students were recognized at a luncheon at Western Sizzlin’.
Kauhlin Pate improved his grade in information technology from a C to an A.
Grenada senior Felicia Harvey said only that she has done exceptionally better in every subject.
“I’m not staying out as late. I used to zone out. Now I’m staying focused,” said Kirk Academy senior Hunter Dees, who improved his geometry score from a C to a B.
