A local minister was the victim of both malicious mischief and armed robbery Friday, although police can’t be sure the two incidents are related.
According to a police report, officers initially responded to a call on the 300 block of Harvey Street at 2:38 a.m.
Officers found glass broken out of a window on the front of the residence of the Rev. Perry Montgomery.
“The call was placed by a neighbor,” said Capt. George Douglas with the Grenada Police Department.
According to the report, officers cleared the scene at 3:10 a.m.
About two hours later officers were recalled to Montgomery’s residence.
Douglas would not say who placed the second call.
