The Grenada Garden Club  and the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce want gardeners to start on the right foot this spring, so they’re offering  a free seminar on horticulture tips.
Cultivating roses, pruning and placing plants in the right place are among the topics experts will cover starting at 8:30 a.m. on March 21 at the Elizabeth Jones Library.
The event is free and open to the public. It lasts until noon.
“We’re always looking for ways to get information out and this is a perfect opportunity,” said Club President Barbara Huddleston.
“We felt this was a good time to hold the seminar, since planting season is right around the corner,” said Virginia Fulton with the Chamber of Commerce. “We’ll give away door prizes throughout the morning and a grand door prize at the conclusion of the seminar.”
The Grenada Garden Club was founded in 1932. It is a member of the Garden Clubs of Mississippi and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
   The club has 48 members.
