Grenada police are investigating two Sunday night shootings, one in which a man was injured.
According to Capt. George Douglas, a man he identified as Frederick Collins, 21, of Grenada, was transported by ambulance to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
According to Douglas, Collins emerged from a house on the 10 block of Govan Street about 10:15 p.m., holding his left arm with his right hand.
He’d apparently been shot, according to Douglas.
“Collins could not provide any information at the scene,” said Douglas.
Police canvassed the area, Douglas said, and witnesses reported numerous shots were fired.
“Some homes and a vehicle sustained some damage,” Douglas said.
Douglas would not say if any shell casings were found at the scene or what caliber of gun might have been fired.
